Community standards and content guidelines for SGAWeb.
SGAWeb is intended to provide a welcoming place where players can connect, share information, and find support for both modern and older video games. A major focus of the website is helping preserve communities surrounding older games, including titles that may no longer receive substantial official support.
SGAWeb does not sell or distribute video games. Information, community features, tutorials, and other resources provided through the website are intended primarily for discussion, technical support, preservation, education, and entertainment.
Excessive violence, graphic gore, excessive profanity, and explicit nudity are strictly prohibited on SGAWeb. A minimal amount of blood, mild profanity, or non-explicit nudity may be permitted when it is relevant to a video game, historical material, artwork, screenshots, or legitimate discussion. Pornographic or sexually explicit material is not permitted.
SGAWeb does not tolerate bigotry, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or other forms of hatred, discrimination, or harassment directed toward individuals or groups. Members are expected to treat one another with respect regardless of race, ethnicity, nationality, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, religion, or other personal characteristics.
Harassment, bullying, threats, targeted abuse, deliberate disruption, impersonation, spam, scams, malicious links, and attempts to compromise another user's account or the SGAWeb website are prohibited.
Because SGAWeb supports many older games and gaming communities, members may discuss fan-created tools, community servers, modifications, troubleshooting methods, and preservation projects when appropriate. Members must still respect applicable intellectual property rights and may not use SGAWeb to distribute pirated games, stolen accounts, unauthorized activation keys, or other illegally obtained content.
SGAWeb reserves the right to remove content or restrict accounts when necessary to protect the website and its community. Serious or repeated violations may result in temporary or permanent loss of access to community features. These rules and policies may be updated as SGAWeb and its services continue to develop.
Supporting gaming communities today while building toward a long-term home for gamers tomorrow.
SGAWeb exists to bring gamers together, provide useful support for games and communities, and help preserve the history and social experiences that make gaming meaningful across generations.
SGAWeb is designed as a community-centered website where players can find information, tutorials, discussions, livestreams, videos, and other forms of support. Special attention is given to older games whose communities may have fewer official resources available today.
Gaming history should remain accessible to future generations. SGAWeb aims to celebrate classic games, hardware, communities, and the people who helped shape the medium while also supporting modern gaming and new ways for players to connect.
The long-term goal of SGAWeb is to help establish a physical retirement community tailored for gamers. The vision is a place where residents can live in a supportive environment while continuing to enjoy gaming, technology, friendship, events, and shared interests as they grow older.
The planned retirement concept is intended to combine residential and assisted-living spaces with areas that encourage activity, creativity, social connection, and lifelong enjoyment of video games.
A central part of that vision is a gaming museum that can preserve and showcase video game history, including retro arcade classics, historic systems, exhibits, and other pieces of gaming culture.
Alongside the museum, the goal is to create a modern gaming center where residents and visitors can enjoy current games, multiplayer events, community activities, tournaments, and new technology in an environment designed to bring generations of gamers together.
