Freestyle GunZ - Online Multiplayer Setup Guide

This guide is for players who want to install and play Freestyle GunZ (FGunZ), a community-operated version of GunZ: The Duel.

Freestyle GunZ has continued providing an online GunZ experience during the years in which the original official service was unavailable. With the official GunZ: The Duel now available again through Steam, FGunZ remains an alternative community version for players who wish to access it.

STEP 1 - VISIT THE OFFICIAL FREESTYLE GUNZ WEBSITE

Go to:

Freestyle GunZ (FGunZ)

SGAWeb recommends obtaining the client directly from the FGunZ website rather than downloading it from an unofficial third-party source.

STEP 2 - CREATE AN FGUNZ ACCOUNT
==================================================

Create an account through the Freestyle GunZ website if you do not already have one.

Keep your account information secure and do not share your password with other players.

STEP 3 - DOWNLOAD FREESTYLE GUNZ

Open the official download page:

The FGunZ website provides several download mirrors for its client installer.

Download the client using one of the official mirrors listed on the page.

STEP 4 - INSTALL FREESTYLE GUNZ

Run the downloaded installer and follow the installation instructions.

According to the FGunZ website, the Windows client supports:

Windows 7
Windows 8
Windows 10
Windows 11

The website also provides information for Linux users.

After installation is complete, launch Freestyle GunZ using its launcher.

STEP 5 - UPDATE THE GAME

Allow the FGunZ launcher to download and install any available updates before entering the game.

Because FGunZ is independently maintained, the client and launcher may change over time.

For this reason, SGAWeb recommends checking the official FGunZ website whenever updated installation information is needed.

STEP 6 - LOG IN AND PLAY

Once the client is installed and updated:

1. Launch Freestyle GunZ.
2. Sign in using your FGunZ account.
3. Enter the available server.
4. Select or create your character.
5. Join a game room.

You should now be able to play Freestyle GunZ online.

IMPORTANT - OFFICIAL GUNZ HAS RETURNED

GunZ: The Duel has officially returned through Masangsoft and is now available free-to-play through Steam.

FGunZ and the current official GunZ: The Duel release are separate services.
